LAMA support

LAMA support

‍18.4 saw the release of the first regular update, ESXi 8 of the most popular virtualization system, which LAMA successfully implemented more than successfully with most clients.

The host version of ESXi 8 brings a better, faster and more intuitive interface and support for vmversion 20, which, among other things, also brings support for future versions of the Windows Server 2025 Windows 12 operating system, which is expected to be released at the end of next year.

New versions of Windows Server 2022 and Windows SQL Server 2022 are out.

LAMA has already successfully implemented a number of the mentioned platforms with numerous users.

In addition to veeam as the industry standard for backup, LAMA also uses Nakivo software for backup and replication of server infrastructure, which in the new version brings improvements in the defense against ransomware as the main security threat in the IT sector in recent years.

Some of the new functionality is malware detection, built on top of existing capabilities to make backups immutable and uncompromised by attackers.

One of the possibilities is to record Nakivo backups on the Amazon S3 cloud using object locking, the so-called immutable backup.

The second is that local backups via Nakiva on Linux can also be immutable, so in the event of ransomware intrusion into the company's internal infrastructure, which is a frequent occurrence today, the backup remains untouched or unchanged
